we just spent the week with these little guys. i may be a little biased (as mom and aunt)… but really. could they be any sweeter?! 
so the number of photos on my computer is now a bit daunting. and the email list to work through is a bit large. but the sweet time with family was priceless and precious. we’ll get to all the rest later/soon. well – probably later. i’m exhausted!
a friend let gavin borrow this little skateboard about an hour ago. and maybe, just maybe – he has a new obsession. i’m not that surprised, since the scooter has been a favorite for a long time. but i am surprised at his foot work. let’s just hope for no broken bones – not so sure a skateboard is the mother’s favorite activity for a three year old. pictures are not so great – but i had to grab a few quick pictures….

i found this crown at a local boutique a week or so ago. i have no idea what to do with it – but every little girl loves it. 
these three little girls are about as adorable as they come! i mean look at how little sydney on the right is positioning her hand!!! ahh – can’t take it! since i first met this adorable family a year and a half ago – the girls just keep getting cuter (if that is possible). we did some spring pictures at The Grand and it was so much fun. i mean if you have NOT been to the Grand – you need to, it is so ridiculous. i love it.

for years – we’ve seen these beautiful, colorful hot air balloons floating through the sky. we see them out our windows, as we drive on the streets, and from the beach. we love them – they just look so peaceful and magical up in the sky. we finally “caught” them launching which is something i’ve been wanting to do for a while. it was SO neat! we’re going to do it again. and again. and again. next time – we’ll bring a big blanket and maybe dinner. i’d love it to be a memory for gavin – remembering sitting in the warm sun having a picnic watching the hot air balloons fill up and float off into the sky. 
we called our friend sam to come when we realized we had “caught” them – they made it just in time to see the 2nd and 3rd balloons. local friends – let me know if you ever want to do this with us!!

this morning around 8:30 or so, i started thinking i better get going with 10 on 10… but i felt NO inspiration. gavin wanted to color in his room – and as we were sitting there, i watched as the sun poured in all around us. it was warm, golden, and beautiful. THAT is it. Not every photo had the sun, but is the result of the beautiful and glorious sunshine. 
at the end of the day, after we had watched the sun set into the pacific. i realized i only had taken a photo for every 9 hours. oh well i thought. UNTIL, when i was giving gavin a bath and caught a glimpse of my back in the bathroom mirror! that is it!!! a perfect end to a sun inspired 10 on 10 – the sunburn and sun-tan-lines at the end of the day…
a beautiful, sunny, day. and a warm, rosy back to prove it.

yesterday during quiet time for gavin – i was totally unproductive. i just sat and looked at pictures from when he was little (since he’s such a big three year old now). ahh – so nostalgic.
…now we are off to a saturday morning soccer game – it goes so fast.
maybe that’s why i take so many pictures.
