the story goes something like this… our moms met at valle lindo park, before i can remember. i don’t ever remember “meeting” juliet – i just always knew her. we lived a few houses down from one another, when we were really little. silly memories between juliet and i, (the two in the middle with our big sisters on the edges) dressing up seems to be a theme of most of our memories. there is just something about those very early friendships in our lives that really make an impression. years and years have passed, and i haven’t kept up very well with juliet. but memories and a shared past never go away. today i saw beautiful juliet, and her growing family and took some precious pictures for her. i am sharing some here, but i had to start (and end) with photographs of us from our early days – to highlight how special this photoshoot was.

juliet is as beautiful and sweet as ever,  a “first” friend is pretty special…  her two children and one on the way were breathtaking.

here we are, silly little girls – hope to see you again soon juliet.

 i also took these….
my little boy – off for our ‘long’ walk to school at ms. gwen’s.  i really didn’t want to do school for gavin this year, i felt like he was too young.  but it has been a highlight of his week and this autumn.  packing his backpack and picking out his own clothes to wear. (ok so i helped with the scarf this day…)  his big-boy lunchbox and his “kindergarten shoes” as he calls them.  these are the kind of moments i prefer to take pictures of.  the regular, not so special moments – that will be gone before i know it.  off to real kindergarten.  but i have a few more years to keep him before “real”  school.  and these little pictures will always be fond memories of our walks to ms gwen’s.

so much to be thankful for, it seems impossible to put into words sometimes.  i’m not always one for words anyways.  these two sleepy guys sure top the list though…  happy thanksgiving.
