i adore hayes: her laid back attitude, her gentle yet strong presence, and just overall ease to be around.  her kids are pretty awesome as well.  and on a crazy-weather evening we enjoyed tide beach in solana beach which felt almost totally private.  it was sunny, cloudy, warm, chilly, raining, and glowing – all in just an hour.  at the end, a rainbow came out.  beautiful children, beautiful beach, beautiful rainbow.  sometimes you can’t write a better script.

monday afternoon – it was warm and sunny.  ingrid humored me as i wanted to find some pretty spots in rancho sante fe – so off we drove to see horses and the fields.  i even bought the cutest hat for gavin.  he fell asleep in 5 minutes, so while he rested in the car i snapped a few sunny shots of ingrid.  we found my field – woke up a cranky & confused gav and ing even snapped a few for me, with me in them.  i love trying find a new and beautiful spot like this.  like uncovering a quiet treasure…  here are a few glimpses into that beautiful autumn evening, driving through & exploring rancho sante fe with ingrid and gavin and me…

i think i’m going to come back to this field with gavin and this hat again soon.  it was just too perfect.
