my little buds turned into lovely pink camelias, just in time to make it feel a bit more like spring is on its way.

things are getting settled in. ideas are coming to reality. some with bumps along the way or extra hurdles. but little by little the new house is becoming home – especially with little accents like the new playhouse. seeing glimmers of hope.

a sunny lunch in the new yard, warm sand in the toes – a january get-a-way for the northwest grandma. sadly, johan was sick for most of the visit – but gavin and i tried our best to keep her in the sun.

we have a new home. after nearly eight years in our last, we made a huge move across our tiny beach town.
i long for spring when these buds will be in full bloom and cover my house in vases of fresh flowers from my yard.
i long for the summer days to sit under my new little palm trees and listen to new birds and new breezes.
trying to enjoy these transition days also.
i stumbled across this new song i put up on my blog above… i think i’ll just listen to it over and over.
