summer is coming, spring was here. as i am clearing out my computer from the past few months i am realizing what a full and beautiful spring it was. without thinking too hard, and picking VERY quickly— i randomly grabbed a few pictures from the spring.

most of the time i listen to beautiful, relaxing, creative music while editing. but i seem to always come back to this song. kinda random i know. but i just love (and always have loved) a little reggae and matisyahu….. puts you in just the best mood.

if there is one thing i’ve learned, & am learning… is that lighting is everything. this picture has VERY minimal editing, i just stood outside an open door, put the little girl just inside a darker room where there was great in-direct light at the opening of the door. such an easy little trick to getting great light reflecting in the kids eyes. i used the smallest number for appeture possible, here 1.8 – but even with any camera or lens, you’ll get great results if you use lighting really well. try it
