black and white.

i love self-challenges, but i am struggling to take new pictures.  so these are not new – i like them just how they are, so they’ll count for 1. strong contrast and 2. black backdrop…

ok, i used up the free-bee card – now to charge my camera for new ones…

when you make up your own self-challenge, you also get to change the rules a little as you go.  right?

hey robin – these were both taken outside in the afternoon and the kids were standing right up against a wall in in-direct light. nothing fancy in the settings, just pretty normal – just had a dark wall behind them in good in-direct light. and then when i edit them – i have the contrast really strong. i seem to gravitate most of my black and whites to this style… i seem to prefer it. i have to admit… it does help that both these kids have really stunning and strong features in their face – so this style goes nicely with their facial structures too.
