ten on ten : october 2019

it’s been so long since I’ve done ten on ten. for years, I learned the art of seeing life in simple beauties through the ten on ten challenge – started by my dear friend Rebekah Gough. a photo, every hour – over ten hours… once a month, on the 10th.

the practice shaped my photography style. and as I wonder how my photography is emerging or evolving – it was special to come back to the beginning of it all. with ten on ten.

Hi Stacy!

It’s been forever, and I’m sure you don’t remember me, but you took beautiful author head shots for me back in 2013 (The Marston House in Balboa Park) and now my daughter (17) is hoping to get head shots taken for theater work. I vaguely recall an email you sent out a few years ago stating that you weren’t working professionally anymore, but wanted to double-check. You were so very sweet and easy to work with, and somehow made ME look good in photos (an impossible endeavor!), that I wanted to make sure of your status before we started looking for another photographer.

Hope all is well–the kiddos are GORGEOUS!!

I’ve been thinking about picking back up on the 10s too! I loved them. I loved seeing everyone else’s ten. I hardly pick up my “real” camera anymore. I think instagram took over my photo life and it’s not at all the same as scrolling back through a blog where you can read and see in a beautiful layout. I miss visiting blogs, getting to know people near and far.
