a beautiful sunny day out. we could go to the wild animal park and ride the train? we could go to the childrens’ gardens? we could go to the zoo? we could go to the park? but gavin isn’t budging. he is imagining away in the house – making tents, and “beds”, and “going to work at 1 o’clock”, and “work is closed so he is going to ‘chi-chi’s’ house for a party”…
i tell him whenever he is ready we can go outside for an adventure, or a train ride, or a bike ride. but so far – it looks like a simple quiet day. one where we look out at the blue skies from our window and smile. i’m sure by the afternoon he’ll be ready for more – but this morning, i brewed more coffee, and we’ll start with a simple day.
