it’s hard to imagine finding a couple with more warmth and genuine sweetness. from the volleyball courts at SDSU & the football field at Boise State, a power couple has emerged. power in their love, kindness, warmth and authenticity. i’ve known mikey for around 20 years, and watching his story grow and now include such an incredible girl just makes your heart burst… since i was running all over during the ceremony, i didn’t get to savor some of their sweet written vows and asked them to share again. just little snippets here…

Throughout my life, I’ve thought a lot about my wedding day. As most people do, I wondered about all the twists and turns that life would take to lead me to this day. But I thought less about the little things like what kind of a dress I would be wearing or would the wedding be big or small, and more about who the man would be standing in front of me at the altar. Today, I finally have the opportunity to answer all of those questions.
I’m marrying a man that leaves me a cup of coffee by my bedside in the mornings because although he is a very enthusiastic morning person, he knows I am not… I’m marrying a man that brings me flowers every week or so… because he knows I love flowers and he wanted to see me smile… I’m marrying a man that has the heart of man’s man and a poet’s soul. When this is all said and done, to all the questions I have ever had about today, you are the perfect answer… I vow to celebrate our successes and be supportive in our failures. I vow to be gentle yet strong and to be adventurous and funny.
And I vow that as long as we’re together, we’ll always have a home.
