my name is stacy & this is my space to post little moments, little gems throughout the day, and memories in photograph form. i love to photograph my family most of all, and all the adventures and beauties in our life in san diego. my husband & i are so blessed with our family & friends and this is a little way to savor each of the things and people we love so much. i do photography for others as well, so from time to time i'll post pictures from a photo shoot. but mostly - this blog is a creative space for me. thanks for checking in! xoxo stacy

the year – in photographs

2012 was a big year. maybe the biggest for our little family. it means so much to me to look back at the year & remember the amazing experiences, quiet moments, huge events, and emotional times. so i’m sure there are way too many pictures for most, but this post is for me… & my family. and i’m sure i’ll sit back with a cup of coffee or sip on some wine & listen to the music i added for the post & look at them over & over & over.

each time noticing & remembering different hidden meanings in a simple picture, or the joy of a picture from a special time.

stacy, i don’t even know if it is possible to ever find words to completely describe how your photography, what your photography does to my soul. you are one of the rarest talents i have ever known and it’s crazy to think that i get to know you in real life too! combing over these images i am struck with the beauty of life, the joy, the depth, the quiet stunning moments that only an image can truly help us appreciate. I know that this year was not all roses and iced lattes and strolls along the coast for you guys but your gifts have been well used – there is much fruit being produced within your faithfulness to capture it all.

you make me want to capture my beautiful too.

I love you guys, I can not believe I managed to see you twice in 2012 and so look forward to seeing you again this year!

and thank you from the bottom of my heart (and many others I am sure) for your inspiration and faithfulness in this space it’s a favorite spot to land on a ho hum day to get my eyes focused on all that is around me to partake in!

Wow. I just stumbled on your blog, and feel so fortunate to have done so on this gray morning. Your photos are simply beautiful and the way you weave them together to tell a story is very touching. It doesn’t hurt that the subjects in these photos are all startlingly beautiful people, but it is your talent that really brings them to life through the screen. So glad I found you. I came over here via one of your comments on my sweet friend, cranny and me’s, blog. And I just couldn’t stop scrolling down! And the grand finale, the sweet ending, was this post (though I will be back for the rest!). Your photography…is like taking a course for the eye. With every snapshot, I feel my creative eye getting an education. Thank you for taking the time to put this together! I can only imagine the amount of time it took!
