when the day starts with your five year old making fresh squeezed orange juice from homegrown fruit – it’s bound to be a good day. when the day ends with some of your favorite people in the world warming your home & bringing in the darkness of evening – it was a good day.
the day started with a bang, gavin’s gum in kai’s incredibly long, baby-soft hair… but it progressively got better, & was actually quite unproductive while constant all day. mom days are like that. constant all day — joys, smiles, tears, excitement, quiet, busy — all to end with a sink of dishes i am choosing...
today was a “re-group” day. simple. all about my boys, some christmas work squeezed in here & there, and again… my boys. my pictures weren’t the focus of today, and that was the re-group part of the day.
coffee & the two grandmas are keeping things above water here. fall feels like it has descended, beautifully and with a little chill. my two little boys keep me so happy to wake up in the morning. a day late and only eight photographs. fitting for this month’s ten on ten.

this month, i just couldn’t do a full ten on ten… but i tried– a couple i pulled from a few days ago (cheater i know). but with first day of pre-k for gav, and just life with a one week old baby, we did what we could.
